2024 Student Award Program

The AAFP and Royal Canin are teaming up to help 20 veterinary students at AVMA-accredited veterinary colleges and universities in the United States and Canada experience the 2024 AAFP Annual Conference. New this year! The popular Cat Handling Workshop, where you work with live cats and learn valuable techniques that you will use throughout your career, is being sponsored by Royal Canin and will be available exclusively to students! Please indicate on the application if you are interested in attending this free workshop.

Application:

Students in good standing at an AVMA-accredited college or university in the United States and Canada must submit their application by Sunday, May 12, 2024. Please note this award applies to the in-person conference registration only.

Selection:

Chosen candidates will be notified via email by May 24, 2024. Those who are not selected will still have the opportunity to register for the 2024 AAFP Annual Conference prior to the early-bird deadline.

Please note:

• Submission of an application form does not guarantee complimentary conference registration.
• Previous AAFP/Royal Canin Award recipients are not eligible for another award.
• Award recipient contact information will be shared with the sponsor, Royal Canin.
• Those awarded are required to attend the AAFP Annual Conference and participate in a meeting with the sponsor while on site.
• Award recipients must be students at the time of the conference.

Registration:

• Candidates chosen for the scholarship must reply via email by Friday, June 14, 2024, notifying the AAFP they accept the Student Award and will attend the 2024 AAFP Annual Conference.
• If a candidate does not reply by the deadline, an alternate candidate will be chosen for the award. Please ensure your email address is correct and you are receiving emails from info@catvets.com.
• Complimentary conference registration includes the conference fee, breakfasts, coffee breaks, three receptions, tote bag, conference proceedings (online), giveaways, access to the Exhibit Hall, and more! (Please note this does not include the Pre-conference Day Registration, ancillary sessions, or additional items as they must be purchased by the attendee.)
• Scholarship recipients must attend the conference and a meeting with AAFP leaders hosted by Royal Canin. Registration instructions will be provided in the scholarship acceptance email.
• Please verify that the conference dates (September 27-29) will not conflict with your schedule prior to applying.
