2013 Fluid Therapy Guidelines
These guidelines produced by AAHA and AAFP provide practitioners with much needed information on best practice in the administration of fluids during specific situations.  

2013 Environmental Needs

These Guidelines were established to assist the veterinary team in encouraging preventive care to improve the quality of life of senior cats, and to define screening and treatment of senior cats.  Included is a client handout to teach cat owners how to care for older cats.

2007 AAHA/AAFP Pain Management Guidelines

These Guidelines were developed to educate and inform members of the veterinary profession.  These recommendations reflect a combination of expert opinion, personal experience, and scientific studies.




The 2006 Feline Vaccine Advisory Panel Report

This Panel Report was developed to aid practitioners in making decisions about appropriate care of patients with respect to currently available vaccines.

This Panel Report was developed to answer questions commonly presented to veterinary clinicians or Bartonella spp. researchers, and was created using consensus viewpoints when possible and evidence-based medicine.




2004 Feline Behavior Guidelines

These guidelines were developed to support veterinarians by providing practical information and client educational materials to successfully incorporate feline behavioral medicine into every practice that offers feline healthcare.



2003 Zoonoses Guidelines

These guidelines were developed to communicate the most common cat-associated illnesses that are encountered in small animal practice grouped by route of transmission and to recommend ways to minimize dangers associated with cat ownership and to those providing cat health care.




2001 Basic Guidelines of Judicious Therapeutic Use of Antimicrobials in Cats

The Basic Guidelines to Judicious Therapeutic Use of Antimicrobials in Cats were designed to provide information to aid practicing veterinarians in choosing appropriate antimicrobial therapy to best serve their patients and to help minimize the development of antimicrobial resistance.
