At its June 2010 meeting, the AVMA Executive Board approved establishment of the AVMA National Hazardous Waste Product Database Task Force and the AVMA Model Veterinary Practice Act Review Task Force. We would like to invite interested individuals to submit nominations for the following positions on the Task Forces:

AVMA National Hazardous Waste Product Database Task Force

• Member of American Society of Veterinary Medical Association Executives (ASVMAE)
• At-large - veterinarian with expertise in environmental health

AVMA Model Veterinary Practice Act Review Task Force

• Member of American Society of Veterinary Medical Association Executives (ASVMAE)
• Member of American Veterinary Medical Law Association (AVMLA)
• Veterinarian representing small animal practice
• Veterinarian representing large animal practice
• Executive director or member of state veterinary licensing board
• Non-veterinarian public member

Interested individuals should submit their nomination forms no later than August 6 by email to OfficeEVP@avma.org, by fax to 847-925-0944, or by mail to Julie Granstrom, 1931 N. Meacham Rd, Ste 100, Schaumburg, IL, 60173. Following the August 6 deadline, all nominations will be forwarded to the Executive Board Chair for appointment. We will notify all nominees and nominators of the results immediately following the appointments.
